FIRST CONSULTATION

In the consultation, Dr. Ashkar or Dr. Schumacher will show you how the vector method works. You can express all your wishes and get an answer to all your questions.

DAY OF YOUR SURGERY

Our team welcomes you in a relaxed atmosphere. Afterwards, we determine the desired position of your ear together in front of the mirror.

LOCAL ANESTHESIA

The surgery takes place under outpatient care and the ears are locally anesthetized.

VECTORIAL AURICLE SHAPING

A network of Vector sutures are woven into the ear cartilage to reposition the newly formed, possibly unfolded antihelix fold and adjust the shape if necessary. The auricle gets slightly reduced in size, reshaped and repositioned.

IF DESIRED: ADJUST EAR TIP / EARLOBE

Unlike most open techniques, this method also offers the possibility to adjust the most difficult areas such as the ear tip or earlobe.

  • It is a tissue-conserving, minimally invasive procedure, but as with all surgical operations, medical clarification is the basis of treatment.

    During this medical clarification, the risks will be explained to you.

    The risks are significantly lower than all other methods known to us, according to an analysis of our own data.

  • In the case of childhood malformations or psychological stress, a medical indication can be made by the pediatrician or general practitioner.

    In these cases, corrections are also carried out on children.

  • There are hardly any criteria that exclude a patient from ear pinning using the vector method.

    Basically, the patient should be in a physically healthy state.
